Individual Therapy

Therapy sessions typically last about 45 - 60 minutes and the frequency of appointments will depend on your specific treatment plan. Regular attendance is strongly recommended for the fastest path to recovery.

When you enlist our services, you can expect to be treated with respect, understanding and compassion. We provide a warm, safe and comfortable setting and encourage you to work through issues at your own pace. But you will also be challenged and engaged -- only through hard work can we overcome the burdens of the past and look to a brighter future ahead.

Individuals come to therapy for sadness, worry, difficulty adjusting to something new and/or unexpected, and relationship issues.  Our goal at SSBC is to gain a deeper understanding of your symptoms and create lasting change.  Areas of need can include but are not limited to:

Our children and adolescents are required to navigate an increasingly complex world. As they develop, they may well encounter situations or stages in which life's challenges feel overwhelming. During these times, articulating needs and feelings, and answering important questions such as, 'Who am I?', 'How can I feel safe?' and 'Where am I going?' can require additional support.

We believe in building resilience and coping skills in kids, while committing to holding a safe, trusting space for them to process a range of issues:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self esteem
  • Trauma and dissociation
  • PTSD/Attachment
  • Abuse and neglect
  • Divorce
  • Sensory Processing Issues
  • Academic Difficulties
  • Autism

  • Parenting and discipline improvement
